Edamame is an edible bean cultivated many regions throughout the world with numerous health advantages. The scientific name of Edamame is Glycine Max L. Merr and the botanical name of these edible beans is Fabaceae. It belongs to the genus Fabaceae (Leguminosae) family. It is believed that this edible bean is native to East Asia, but now it is also cultivated widely in other tropical countries like cuisine of China, Japan, Korea and Hawaii. Edamame beans are very soft and crunchy. 

Due to various types of Vitamin, Minerals and nutrients, presence in the Edamame, it has lots of health benefits.
