Oregano is one of the natural herbs cultivated in many regions throughout the world with numerous health advantages. The scientific name of Oregano is Origanum vulgare. It belongs to the Genus Origanum, family Lamiaceae. It is believed that this natural herb is native to the Mediterranean region, but now it is also cultivated widely all over the world for domestic and commercial purpose. The plant is a little bush, growing up to 75 cm in tallness with multi-stretched stems secured with little grayish-green oval leaves and little white or pink blooms. Oregano is broadly well known in the Greek and Italian cooking styles. Its leaves have a particular fragrant, warm, and marginally biting taste.
