The scientific name of Caraway is Carum carvi and also known as Persian Cumin, Medidein Fennel, Wild Cumin and Carroway. It belongs to the Genus Carum, family Apiaceae. Caraway is a glabrous and extended plant which grows 30 to 70 cm high with prolonged fusiform taproot.
