Daikon is a no-cholesterol vegetable cultivated many regions throughout the world with numerous health benefits. The scientific name of a Daikon is Raphanus sativus var. Longipinnatus. It belongs to the Brassicaceae family. It is believed that this vegetable is native to Europe in pre-Roman times.
