Sage is also popularly known as common sage, garden sage or culinary sage is an evergreen subshrub with woody stems cultivated many regions throughout the world with numerous health advantages. The scientific name of a sage is Salvia officinalis. It belongs to Lamiaceae (mint) family. It is believed that this herb is native to Southern Europe and Mediterranean region.
