Aizawl is the cultural and religious capital of the Mizos. It is home to the Mizoram State Museum. Even though it is the capital of the state, Aizawl is a peaceful little town. It is one of the oldest cities in the north eastern region of India, with an elevated setting and breathtaking views.  

Apart from the  Mizoram State Museum and few other tourist complexes, tourists have few options to enjoy a sightseeing tour. You can take a tour to the nearby hilly areas of Hmuifang, Tamdil Lake and Chanmari.

Mizoram State Museum displays the rich heritage of Mizoram that is located right in the centre of the city. Along with the numerous archaeological artifacts, photographs and natural history specimens, an entire gallery here is dedicated to the Mizo tribes.

Vantawng Waterfalls is one of he most mesmerizing waterfalls of the North East which is the  highest waterfall in the state and the 13th highest in the country. The waterfall which is located 137 km away from the capital city of Aizawl is one of the prime attractions. It is located in the Vanva River near Thenzawl which is known for its rampaging speed of flow. Tucked in between the verdant valleys with thick greenery around the waterfall seems like a river of white milk from distance. But due to thick forest covering around it, the waterfall can only be viewed from distance.

Reiek Tlang is one of the highest hills of Mizoram which is 1600 meters tall. Located at a distance of 29 km away from the city of Aizawl, Reiek Tlang provides an opportunity for trekking with the backdrop of sceneries borrowed from the Mizo Hills. The constant humming and chirping of the countless birds in the region while climbing up the hill is another great experience especially for birdwatchers.

The Durtlang Hills are famous for the breathtaking views, providing a panoramic view of the hill station. They provide whilst on the rocky trek trail. 

KV Paradise is a 3 storied mausoleum built in the memory of Varte by her husband Khawlhring. She died in 2001 in a motor accident. This beautiful structure showcases an odd collection of her wardrobe and shoe collections. The marble fountain patio offers wonderful panoramic views of the valley.

Solomon Temple is a grand temple for the locales here in Aizawl that is located in Kidron Valley. It was constructed by Kohhran Thianghlim which is rendered 'The Holy Church' in English. The church was founded by Dr. L.B. Sailo in 1984. The temple complex has natural park covered by various forest trees to shade and fruits for bird and squirrel of different kinds meant for their sanctuary.
