Yogurt, or Dahi is an effective home remedy for stomach problem. It plays an important role in Indian cuisines  as well as worldwide. But have you ever thought that it will also be useful for our skin and hair. It has various health benefits as well.


1. Moisturizes Skin


Yogurt works as a skin moisturizer for your skin, you can apply yogurt face mask to rejuvenate your skin.  It can boost the moisture content of the skin When applied topically. This helps skin to become more elastic and brighten.


  • Mix 4 tablespoons yogurt,1 tablespoon cocoa,1 teaspoon honey properly in  a bowl.
  • Apply the mask to your face and neck.
  • keep it on for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse with cool water.


2. Reduces Wrinkles And Fine Lines



Yogurt contains antiaging properties. It can fight against wrinkles and fine lines if it applied on a weekly basis. The lactic acid present in yogurt works well as an exfoliator. It removes the dead skin cells providing you a  brighter and glowing skin.


  • Take 2 tablespoons yogurt and 1 tablespoon oats.
  • Mix it properly and wait for it to get mushy.
  • Stir to get a thick consistency.
  • Apply it all over your face and neck.
  • Massage your face gently.
  • Keep it for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water.

  • Combine 1 tablespoon of yogurt and ½ teaspoon of the lemon juice in a bowl.

  • Keep it on for 15 minutes and rinse with cold water.

  • Keep it overnight and wash your face with cold water in the morning.

You can use yogurt as a natural home remedy for skin infections like ringworm. It helps a lot to cure skin infections caused by yeast as it contains probiotics.


  • Take 1 teaspoon yogurt and apply it on the infected area.
  • Wrap a gauze to cover it.
  • Repeat it twice a day till you see the result.

  • Take 1 teaspoon yogurt.
