Both curd and yoghurt are dairy products that are most easily available everywhere. The process of fermentation of these two superfood are different. Yoghurt is fermented using bacteria known as 'yoghurt cultures', whereas, curd on the other hand, is fermented using lactic acid bacteria.
Indian curd is made by adding a spoonful of the curd itself to cool milk which has been boiled earlier. Packed with vitamins like B5 and D, a hair pack with curd will help strengthen your hair from inside.
A curd hair mask will also help you prevent dandruff as it has anti-bacterial as well as anti-fungal properties. Curd can be used as a conditioner which is always better then using chemical conditioners. A curd mask for hair will not only help you prevent hair loss, but also at the same time will help you recover the loss because of the protein present in it. Here are different curd mask for different hair problems:

Curd & Egg Hair Mask for Strong & Shiny Hair:

Make a thick paste by mixing 4-5 tablespoon of curd, 1 egg and 2 tablespoon of olive oil. Apply this paste as a hair mask for 20 minutes and wash with a mild shampoo and cool water. You can instantly feel your hair with smoother texture.
You can add one Vitamin E capsule to this paste for extra nourishment.

Curd & Hibiscus Hair Pack for Strong & Shiny Hair :

Mix 4 teaspoons of curd with 2 tablespoon of hibiscus oil and apply it on your scalp. Rinse it off after 30 minutes with cold water and mild shampoo.

Curd & Lemon Hair Mask for Dandruff:

Make a nice smooth paste of 5 tablespoon of curd and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. You can also add ground pepper to it. Apply to hair for half an hour and wash with cold water and mild shampoo. You can repeat this twice a week to get rid of dandruff. The anti-fungal properties of this mask will not only remove the dandruff but also prevent the recurrence.

Dahi & Amla Hair Pack To Boost Hair Growth:

Mix together about a cup of curd and 2 tablespoon of amla powder. Apply this hair mask on your hair and leave on for around half an hour. After that wash with a mild shampoo and cool water. The protein and vitamin B5 present in this mask will help your hair grow stronger and longer.

Curd & Aloe Vera Hair Mask as Hair Conditioner:

Mix 2 tablespoon of coconut oil, 4 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and 3 tablespoon of curd to make a thick paste. Apply it on scalp for half an hour and wash it out with cool water and a mild shampoo. You can repeat this once every week for gorgeous hair.

Fenugreek & Curd Hair Pack for Hair Fall:

Mix 3 tablespoon of fenugreek or methi seeds with 5-6 tablespoon of curd to make a paste and apply it on your hair for an hour. Wash it out with cool water and a mild shampoo. You can repeat this every week to reduce hair fall.

Curd & Black Pepper Hair Pack for Hair Fall:

Mix 100 gram of curd with 1 gram of black pepper and apply the paste on your scalp. Rinse it off after 15 minutes with lukewarm water and mild shampoo.
Apply this hair pack at least once a week to reduce hair fall.

Curd & Honey Hair Pack for Split Ends:

Mix a bowl of curd and a table spoon of honey. Massage your scalp well with this mixture especially at the hair ends. Wash it off with lukewarm water after 20-25 minutes. Continue this treatment for a month, once a week to get amazing result.

Multani Mitti & Curd Hair Pack for Itchy Scalp:

Soak multani mitti in water for 2 hours so that it swells and then make paste out of it adding 4 tablespoon curd, 2 tablespoon honey, 2 teaspoon of olive Oil and 2 tablespoon lemon juice. Apply it on your scalp and cover your scalp with shower cap for 30 minutes. Wash it off with cold water and mild shampoo. This hair mask will helps you get rid of toxins and itchy scalp.
