When Can You Start Giving Daliya to Infants?

If your baby's digestion problem, it is best to wait until she is about 10 months to 12 months old so that he can digest the solids properly and get the benefits from it. Dalia is good for babies because it makes your baby's tummy full, provides a good amount of energy, and even stimulates the digestion system. Dalia helps improve growth and metabolism as it contains lots of nutrition and fibre.

Healthy Dalia Recipes for Babies

Veggie Dalia
Mix the dalia with a few vegetables and give your baby once your little one starts eating more solids.

Ingredients
Peas,Carrots, potatoes, capsicum, all chopped
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Oil or ghee
Dalia
Water
Salt
   

Method
Roast the dalia in a pan until it gives an aroma and Keep it aside.
Pour some oil in to a different pan.
Add mustard seeds. and once they start popping, add curry leaves.
Then add chopped vegetables.
Add a pinch of salt and cover it to let it cook for a few minutes.
Then add water and the roasted dalia in it.
Kep stirring it to avoid lumps.
Keep it in low flame for few minutes.
It is ready to serve your little one.

Dalia Kheer

If you want give something sweet to your baby, then Dalia kheer is the best sweet dish for babies. To make dalia kheer you need

Ingredients

Jaggery
Milk
Ghee
Dalia
Water
Cardamom
Raisins
Cashew
Almonds
   
Method

Take a pan and add some ghee in it.
Roast the nuts properly and keep them aside.
Now roast dalia for a few minute until it gives an aroma.
Add milk to it and let it start cooking.
Boil it on low flame for about 15 minutes.
Keep stirring it to avoid lumps.
Add water and milk in this.
Once done, add the roasted nuts.
Sprinkle cardamom powder and serve your baby.

Dalia Porridge

Ingredients

Dalia
Jaggery
Milk
Ghee
Water
Cashews
Almonds
   

Method

Take a pan and adding ghee to it.
Add cashews and almonds to it and roast them well. Keep them aside.
Then Now roast dalia for a few minute until it gives an aroma.
Add milk to it and let it start cooking.
Reduce the flame after that and let it cook for about 15 minutes while stirring it continuously.
Add dalia in the same pan and roast it for a couple of minutes. Keep stirring while doing so.
Once the aroma starts rising, add milk to the pan, stir it correctly, and let it boil.
Once done, add the roasted nuts.
Sprinkle cardamom powder and serve your baby.

Dalia Laapshi

Ingredients

Dalia
Ghee
Water
Jaggery
   
Method

Take a pressure cooker and add some ghee and the dalia together.
Then roast dalia for a few minute until it gives an aroma.
Boil some water with jaggery in a separate bowl.
Let it boil until all the jaggery is dissolved.
Once that is done, add this water mixture into the cooker.
Cook it for three whistles on medium flame.
And dalis lapshi is ready to serve.
