It helps boost immunity and prevent infections that diabetics are often vulnerable to. Include raw or powdered turmeric in your cooking. 


Ginger helps managing blood sugar levels, fight inflammation and prevent complications of diabetes. It also improves heart and eye health. Drink 2 to 3 cups of ginger tea daily. You can also include fresh or dry ginger in your cooking. 


Fenugreek significantly decreased fasting blood sugar, post-meal blood sugar, average blood sugar over 2-3 months (HbA1c) and cholesterol by slowing down the process of digestion and absorption of carbohydrates in the small intestine. Soak 1 to 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. The next morning, drink the water and eat the seeds on an empty stomach. You can follow this remedy daily. 

Gymnema Sylvestre:

Gymnema Sylvestre contain "gymnemic acids" that have the amazing ability to slow down the transport of glucose from the intestines to the bloodstream . It also prevents the liver from releasing more glucose into the blood stream, lowers cholesterol and triglycerides. Also Gymnema Sylvestre help rejuvenate beta cells in the pancreas thus helps controling glucose level. The antioxidant properties of curry leaves can boost pancreatic cell production, thereby improving insulin function.


Garlic reduces serum glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides, urea, uric acid, creatinine, AST and ALT levels. Eat 2 or 3 raw garlic cloves daily on an empty stomach. You can also include garlic in your cooking. 


Cloves have antiseptic as well as germicidal properties along with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and digestive health benefits for diabetics. Add a little of this herb to your foods or chew a few cloves daily.


Rosemary  helps normalize blood sugar levels naturally by reducing weight of the body. 


Oregano is considered one of the best herbs to lower blood sugar levels. It also prevent renal damage. Add a few drops of oregano oil to a glass of water and drink it once daily. Alternatively, drink a cup of oregano tea daily. In addition, sprinkle a little dried oregano on your soups or salads.

Curry Leaves :

Curry leaves contain a phytochemical that can help control blood sugar level in patients with Diabetes type 2 by reducing fasting and postprandial blood sugar level. curry leaves may treat diabetes by influencing carbohydrate metabolism and improving liver and kidney function. Also, the amazing antioxidant properties of curry leaves can boost pancreatic cell production, thereby improving insulin function. Chew a few tender curry leaves daily in the morning on an empty stomach.You can also add curry leaf powder to your soups or salads.

Cayenne Pepper:

Spices like Cayenne pepper stimulate glucose absorption from the small intestine.The entire pepper family including bell peppers, chilli peppers, and cayenne are known to help fight inflammation.  


Marjoram is high in polyphenols, which aids in stabilizing blood glucose levels. Marjoram reduces formation of Advanced Glycation End (AGE) products which is responsible for a lot of the complications that diabetics face, like damage to arteries and eyes.
