Onion

The breathing in strong vapors may help you to stop coughing. You can also use a homemade cough syrup using the comfrey tea, honey and baked onion juice. Drinking this solution every day may help you to stop cough faster. Another option is to combine ½ tsp of the onion juice with 1 tsp of the pure honey and drink it thrice a day to get rid of cough quickly.

Lemon

Lemons contain various health benefits which are very helpful for our health. You can use lemon in a variety of ways to reduce coughing. Lemons contain vitamin C which helps in fighting infections caused by cough. You can use homemade cough syrup. Mix two tablespoons of lemon juice and one tablespoon of honey and drink this many times a day to relief from cough. You can also blend lemon juice with a half teaspoon of honey and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Drinking this mixture is very beneficial for cough.


Carrot Juice

Carrots are highly rich in vitamins and nutrients that are helpful to get relief from various symptoms of a cough. Take four to five fresh carrots to make fresh juice adding little water to it. Hot Milk with Honey

It is a effective home remedy for cough.  Mix one-fourth teaspoon cayenne pepper, one-fourth teaspoon ground ginger, one tablespoon honey, one tablespoon apple cider vinegar and two tablespoons of water and Make a homemade cough syrup. Drink the syrup twice or thrice a day to get relief from cough.


Grapes

Grapes have properties that are useful to release the mucus from the respiratory system that are affected by cough. You need to release the mucus faster to get rid of a cough. Eating grapes or fresh grape juice with a spoonful of honey will be beneficial as well as effective for cough. 


Almonds

Almonds contain various nutritional properties that are helpful for healing cough symptoms. For making a smooth paste out of the soaked almonds. Soak five to six almonds in water for 8 hours and add one teaspoon of butter. Consume it three to four times a day until your coughs go away.


Turmeric

Turmeric contains therapeutic properties which can help in curing coughs. It is more effective, particularly for dry cough. Boil some water in a container and add one teaspoon black pepper, one teaspoon turmeric powder to it. You may also put cinnamon sticks into this solution. Boil this solution for about 2-5 minutes. Add one tablespoon of honey for a sweet taste and drink this on a regular basis until your cough reduced. Another option is to use turmeric as a home remedy is to roast turmeric root and grind it to make a smooth powder. Add little water and honey and drink it twice a day every day till cough is gone.


Garlic

Garlic has lots of health benefits. It contains antibacterial & antimicrobial properties that are useful in treating your cough effectively. There are many ways to use garlic in home remedies for treating cough. Boil a cup of water with 2 to 3 cloves of garlic. After that, add 1 tsp of oregano. Then, make it cool to add a little of honey. Drink it for relief from cough symptoms
