Hyperthyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland is overactive. The Thyroid gland is a small butterfly shaped body organ, which is located on the front side of the neck.
The primary function of gland is to produce two vital hormones, tetraiodothyronine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) which in turn regulate the energy used by the cells in the body. Antioxidants are beneficial for reducing the oxidative stress. Include foods rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, beta carotene, selenium and magnesium in your diet. Sugars can lead to diabetes, blood pressure issues, high cholesterol levels, and obesity. Cutting out as many sugars as possible will help prevent or eliminate hypothyroidism. Sugar and refined carbs are the main source of a number of health problems. Sugar and sweeteners including high-fructose corn syrup, packaged sweet products and refined grains that trigger a sugar addiction and are inflammatory and irritating to the gut.
  • Include dietary fiber in your daily diet
  • Include calcium-rich foods and get enough of Vitamin D which helps address the problem of low bone density and osteoporosis.
  • Consume fruits and salads regularly, daily if possible
