Narnaul in Mahendergarh district of Haryana is a historic town that claims to be one of the important seats of the Dwapar yuga of Mahabharata. Narnaul is famous for its many tombs and historical sites that date back to the Mughal and Rajput era, followed by the rule of Prince of Jaipur and Patiala. A hybrid architectural influences of Mughals, Rajputs, Persians and the British is found here. 

Chyavanprasha was first made in Doshi, a sacred hill just 8 km away from this town. It is also the birthplace of Birbal who was one of the Ministers or Navratnas in Akbar's Court. Dhosi hill that is situated 8 km off Narnaul city centre is famously known for being the origin of the famous Ayurvedic concoction, Chyavanprash made by Chavan Rishi.

Jal Mahal is a palace surrounded by water on all sides and is famous for its Persian and Indian style of architecture. It was built by one of the chief officers of Akbar, Shah Quili Khan, in the year 1591.

Tomb of Ibrahim Khan Sur was built by Sher Shah Suri in the memory of his grandfather, who was a ruler of Bengal. The tomb was designed and built by Sheikh Ahmad Niyazi, who was the personal architect of Sher Shah. It was built in Pathan style.

Khalde Wale Hanumanji is a Hanuman Temple that was built during the Mughal era in Raghunath Pura. Special pujas and aartis are organized here every Tuesday attracting devotees in large number.

Chamunda Devi Mandir was built by Raja Naun Karan who was a great devotee of the goddess.

Chor Gumbad was build by the Afghan ruler Jamal Khan. It is a large square shaped structure, with each corner consisting of a minaret and signposts marking the beginning of Narnaul. It is named so because the place was served as a hide out for thieves.

Modawala Mandir is located on the Narnaul-Rewari road close to the new bus stand that is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Tripoli Gateway consists of three gateways, and hence the name. It was built using red and grey sandstone in the shape of an octagon in 1589 A.D. by Shah Quili Khan.

The Tomb of Shah Wilayat is more of a large complex bearing witness to the architecture of Tughluq era and the British. It is situated close to Ibrahim Khan's mausoleum.
