Nongpoh is the administrative headquarters of Ri-Bhoi district of the Indian state of Meghalaya. The Lum Nehru Park is a one hour ride from Nongpoh. It is full of scenic beauty with lush green lawns and gardens, aviaries and wonderful orchids. 

Lum Sohpetbneng is a mythological significant place located around 40 km from the district headquarters Nongpoh. The place has a beautiful legendary peak which is named as Naval or Heaven. The navel heavenly umbilical peak symbolizes the deep rooted spiritual belief of the Hynniewtrep.

Church of Christ is a beautiful piece of architecture, that is located nearby the famous Lemawlong Market. Nongpoh Church is one of the main attraction of this place as Nongpoh is mainly inhabited by the followers of Christianity.

Nongpoh is known for its production of beautiful orchids. You can buy these along with many variety of fruits at a very cheap rate here. Other than these things you can shop for lot of handicrafts.
