Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is conducted to shortlist candidates for various posts such as TGT, PGT, Principal and other non-teaching posts. It is mandatory to pass the CTET exam to be eligible for TGT post of NVS exam.
NVS or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is an autonomous organization under the ministry of Human Resourced Development, Government of India. It is a unique process where they provide rural students with quality education with free education and free boarding and lodging. NVS is a unique institute where they train young and talented brains those are deprived of these facilities.
NVS Selection Process:
NVS Recruitment will take place in two parts. These include:
Online Written Exam
Interview Process
The final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks secured by the applicant in both written exam & interview process. There will be no interview process for the applicants selected for the post of TGT. Candidates will be appointed on Post after verification of Documents. An examination will be held in 42 Cities.
Selection of the candidates for NVS Non-Teaching Vacancies will base on written Examination & Skill Test. Written Exam will be Computer Based Test (CBT) which contain Objective Type Examination.
There will be no negative Marking in Examination
An exam will available in both Hindi & English language
Total Time Duration of Exam must be 150 Minutes.
Exam Center for NVS:

Salary Details of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti:
The teachers appointed through NVS Exam are paid handsomely by the Government. Allowances, admissible under the rules are enforced time to time apart from the basic salary paid to teacher and other staffs.

NVS Eligibility Criteria:
For the post of Assistant Commissioner the educational qualification should be as below:

Master's degree from a Govt. recognized university with minimum 50% marks
B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree
At least 3-year experience as House Master of a fully residential school
Proficiency in English, Hindi & concerned Regional language

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognized University with 50% marks
B.Ed. or equivalent from a recognized University

Or Graduation with One-year Diploma in Library Science

For the posts of PGTs, TGTs, Miscellaneous Teachers and TGTs (III Language):
The exam pattern of PGT, TGT & Language Teacher are same.

General Awareness of 30 questions for 30 marks
Language Test (English & Hindi) of 40 questions for 20 marks, in which General English and General Hindi of 20 marks each subject
Teaching Aptitude of 20 questions for 20 marks
Concerned Subjects of 80 questions for 80 marks
NVS Application Fee:
A candidate is required to pay Rs. 1500/- as their application fee if they are applying for the post of Principal and Assistant Commissioner.
If a candidate is applying for the post of TGT, he/she is required to pay Rs. 1000/- as application fee.
Rs. 1000/- is required to be paid by candidates applying for the post of TGT/Miscellaneous/Regional Language Teacher.
NVS Admit Card:
The Admit Card for NVS Exam will be assigned to every candidate who applies for NVS Exam. An e-hall ticket will be generated for each applicant. Candidates are required to download their admit card from the official website by entering their login details. The admit card for the written exam will be released first followed by the call letter for the interview process for candidates selected through written exams.
NVS Result:
The results for NVS 2018 Exam will be released after the completion of each stage of examination. The result for written exam will be declared first. Candidates selected through written exam will be called for the interview process.
A final merit list will be prepared for candidates clearing the Interview Process. For TGT/miscellaneous/Regional language teacher, selection is done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written examination only as no Interview Process is conducted for the candidates applying for this post.
